04Delicious food and
a diverse array of souvenirs

Visitors to Hiroshima can enjoy local cuisine based on fresh seasonal food from the surrounding sea and mountains. The area also produces a diverse array of craftwork including highly popular Kumano cosmetic brushes and Miyajima woodcraft, which brings to the fore the warm natural qualities of timber.

Miyajima’s rice paddles are believed to have the power to help people capture enemies and are therefore used as lucky charms by supporters at competitions, etc.
